Ministry seeks public assistance in case of abandoned field dressed bull moose

Officers believe the moose was shot and field dressed in another location before being transported and deposited on the Oba South Branch Road

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is seeking the public’s help in identifying the individual or individuals responsible for shooting and abandoning a bull moose south of Hearst. On Oct. 30, 2017, conservation officers responded to information about a bull moose that had been shot and abandoned on the Oba South Branch Road near the intersection with the Oba Access road.

Officers attended the scene and located a field dressed bull moose. Officers believe the moose was shot and field dressed in another location before being transported and deposited on the Oba South Branch Road.
