If you plan to fish or hunt in Ontario in the new year, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry suggests you check to see if your Outdoors Card expires at the end of 2015.
The Outdoors Card is valid for three calendar years and all cards expire Dec. 31 of any given year.
To fish or hunt in Ontario, most people need an Outdoors Card, along with a hunting or fishing licence tag.
The Ministry says you can renew Outdoors Cards online, using a toll free number, or in person at Service Ontario centres or a licence issuer.
The MNRF reports 690,000 Outdoors Cards were sold in Ontario in 2014. All revenue from the sale of hunting and fishing licences in Ontario is used for wildlife and fisheries management.
